Connective Technologies And Mutual
Benefit Group Announce TEAM-UP Upload Expansion
Houston, TX, (Business Wire) September 13, 2005, Connective
Technologies, Inc. and Mutual Benefit Group announce the expansion
of their TEAM-UP Upload implementation to include PRIORITY®
Data Systems' PriorityRate®.com product as a source system.
"TEAM-UP acts as our point of entry for all of the agency-side
bridges that interface with our website. With the flexibility
built into TEAM-UP Upload, the ease of handling the necessary
workflow modifications and data translations to accept PriorityRate.com
files demonstrates the flexibility that the Connective web-enabled
interface solutions provide. Our back-end systems did not require
any changes; everything was handled by Connective. This makes
it very easy for us to expand and enhance our agency relationships
by offering new interfaces," said Rick Laabs, Vice President
and Chief Information Officer of Mutual Benefit.
"It's becoming common for carriers to grow their agency
and retention business by making it easier to do business through
cost effective, web-based agency interface solutions. Our products
are designed with this need in mind," stated Deborah Osborn,
Account Executive for Connective Technologies. "We are constantly
polling our clients and prospects on functional enhancement priorities
to ensure we're spending our annual R&D investments wisely
and in areas that allows them to serve their trading partners
and policyholders more effectively and efficiently while at the
same time future-proofing their technology investments."
"PRIORITY Data Systems has developed a user-friendly online
point-of-sale system with the added convenience of quote submission
into Connective's system for upload to Mutual Benefit for policy
issuance", commented David Mellor, PRIORITY'S Vice President.
" PRIORITY and Mutual Benefit customers will benefit by saving
time and eliminating the need to re-enter data, thus improving
their workflow."
TEAM-UP Upload is a real-time solution that provides a layer
of isolation for the carrier that interfaces with agency-side
bridges (much like a data access layer) to provide one common
interface with all agency bridges. It fully supports all ACORD
standards while accounting for inconsistencies within the source
AL3 or XML data files. Connective provides an experienced process
that assists carriers in implementing bridges.
Because of the quality and completeness of data coming from comparative raters,
such as PriorityRate.com, they are becoming more common as an
agency-side bridge. TEAM-UP Upload's ability to aggregate all
agency data sources is therefore becoming more significant. The
capabilities built into the product for handling input from virtually
any source makes the addition of comparative rating data an easy
addition to a carrier's upload process.
